This is a children’s nursery rhyme….and for adults too. Use the scroll bar to the right to read the text.
First: a brief history
I wrote BunnyBee’s, HumbleBee’s and Flutterby’s in 1993. The story came to me as I watched a beautiful Butterfly on the ground mourning the loss of it’s mate, or so it seemed. This Butterfly sat there all day long by it’s dead companion, and at one point in the day as I checked on the two of them, the story came to me.
At the time, I thought this little nursery rhyme was sweet and wonderful. I thought kids would love it. I felt like it needed to be in book form. So, I began to seek out an illustrator.

First of all, let me say that I have yet to drive the all new (and I do mean ALL new), 2008 Volkswagen R32. Still, this is in fact a review of that very car. Just what gives me the right to post a review of a car I have yet to drive? Well, I think the fact that I owned a 2004 R32 gives me the right to say just about anything I damn well want to say about the 2008 R32. Plus, this is my web site and I can say anything I please.
It’s good to be the King.

Most of Blues Travels is going to be edited and revamped somewhat over the next few weeks.
When I switched from one web server to another, a ton of formatting was lost and quite a few links were broken. So, the next few weeks I will be cleaning up the site, editing for spelling errors, broken links and the like. So, bare with us.

There comes a time in everyone’s life when you find yourself actually being quiet. Sadly, it doesn’t happen nearly often enough for most of us, what with all of the noise and distractions we find ourselves surrounded by at any given point in a day.
Parental responsibilities, jobs, the demands that life places upon us, all conspire to keep our minds and souls occupied and barricaded from our inner selves. However, every now and then a small miracle does take place; we find ourselves inside a moment within a day where we are at peace just long enough to allow our minds to roam free - visiting the past, peering into the future or just existing in the moment. Whenever this happens to me, I find myself thinking about times in my life when I was the happiest. Invariably I think about the summer of ‘84.

Clearly SOMETHING is happening out there which falls into one of two categories: faked bullshit or actual phenomena. The bullshit probably outweighs the genuine article by a ratio of 70% - 30% (maybe that figure is even more lopsided, I dunno). The question is this: what is the genuine article telling us? And assuming that some of what we see happening (like my pic) is a byproduct of intelligence from some other time or place, then from where does it come?

UFO IMAGE As my earlier post indicates, I was out for the day with the express purpose of taking fall foliage photos with my digital camera.
I live in Central VA and happened to be in Crozet VA taking my first photos when I decided to take a few shots from my car seat.

It has been so long since I have posted here. Far too long. I had such high hopes for this blog and my future.Of course, I still have high hopes and the book that is my life is not yet finished. The chapters are clearly unfolding in suprising ways.
